This week on KPOT, the Minister is going to share influential music from the 1960’s. He will also talk about significant tracks from the 1970’s.
As someone born in the late 1960’s, I have been capable of hearing many types or genres of music. From Lawrence Welk, Hee Haw which was country music, Elvis Presley and stuff I heard in the car radio. Having a sister ten years older I was fortunate to hear rock and roll. There were many songs from the late 60’s and then on, I was in love with good ole ROCK-n-ROll. This post will introduce you to a groovy and far-out hippie band. This band continued on way past the whole flower child period. The Grateful Dead is that band. Now I love turning people on to music, it is part of my whole underground music love, pass it on! I do not want to delve into the details of their history. I will also skip discussing who the band members are and other details. I just want to open the door, it is you who chooses to walk through or not. The two albums I am sharing, are both from 1970. Both albums contain legendary tracks. If you are a connoisseur of something new to you, or maybe not, please give these videos a chance. There are some video involved, but not all songs.
ALL VIDEOS ARE THANKS TO YOUTUBE MUSIC, THE GRATEFUL DEAD CHANNEL.
